This bird was located earlier in the day by John Cassady and the "Ken Brock birding group". A quick phone call from Jeff McCoy let me post the discovery to the IN-BIRD-L mailing list. Consequently birders from at least 3 states got to see the bird on the same day it was discovered!
The following photos were taken with a Nikon Coolpix 995 Digital Camera attached to a Leica APO Televid Spotting scope. All photos were shot at full optical zoom on the camera (4x) and full 60x zoom on the scope eyepiece for a total of 240x total magnification (equivalent to a 9000 mm telephoto lens in 35mm terms!). All shots were taken on "Aperature" priority with the f/stop full open resulting in 1/60 or 1/30 sec shutter speeds. Both photos were cropped from their original size to include only the bird of interest--no further manipulation was done.

Just ask, I usually say yes :-).
