Guatemalan Cracker
NABA International Butterfly Park, Mission, Texas

28 November 2003

We were told about this butterfly by Dave Hanson, whom we'd run into twice on our trip. Luck for us we decided to tag along for a couple of hours--he got a phone call about this beauty!

When Dave got the call, he thought we were going after a Gray Cracker, but when we got there, it turned out to be a Guatemalan! Per Dave, the "eye spots" on the hindwing are a diagnostic feature. We were glad he was there with id help--since we only started butterflying 3 days ago when we found the Fritzgaertner's Flat!!!!!
